On September, 13th, the official ceremony of industrial commissioning of Akademicheskaya CHPP took place in Ekaterinburg. Many honored guests such as Deputy Energy Minister Anton Inyutsyn, Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Yevgeniy Kuivashev, Head of the Administration of Ekaterinburg Aleksandr Yakob, Chairman of the board of directors of Renova Group Viktor Vekselberg and acting Director General of T Plus Andrey Wagner attended the ceremony.

Akademicheskaya CHPP is the most significant investment project in the power-supply system of the city of Ekaterinburg during the last several decades. This modern plant will provide thermal and electric energy for Akademicheskiy district, which is now under construction, as well as for the neighboring districts of the capital of the Urals.

In the main room, there is installed a single boiler-single turbine unit PGU-230 consisting of one 168 MW Alstrom gas turbine GT13E2, one double-pressure HRSG, and one 63 MW КТ-63/7.7 type steam cogeneration turbine manufactured by the Ural Turbine Plant.

Following was manufactured for this project:

  • TENE-20-11250- 400 NF1,
  • TENE-20-5000-300 NF1,
  • TENE-20-1600-560 NF1,
  • TENE-10-1600-81 NF1,
  • ShZK-0,4-1600-51 NF1.

The overall total is 681,5 linear meters of isolated phase buses.
